Experience the mediaeval charm of Glorenza and find out more about the attractions in the smallest town in South Tirol.
HOLIDAYS IN GLORENZA
Discover the Vinschgau in a very special way! With our historic Rolls-Royce HP 20/25, 1935 model, we race through orchards and picturesque villages.
On the way we’ll enjoy the impressive scenery, cappuccino & apple strudel. Since the home of the British cult car Rolls-Royce is also the home of whiskey, we put in a stop at South Tirol’s only whiskey distillery PUNI and sample the Italian single malt from the Vinschgau. Indulgence, history, myth – all these come together in our two-hour gourmet tour, which we offer from April to October.
The legend that is Rolls-Royce
Luxury and perfection – that’s what the British car make Rolls-Royce stands for. The Rolls-Royce 20/25 hp is the successor of the bigger 20 hp and was designed for customers who preferred to get behind the wheel themselves – without a chauffeur. In the seven years from 1929 to 1936, a total of 3,827 cars were manufactured.
PUNI Distillery
In Glurns in Upper Venosta Valley, you’ll find Italy’s first and only whiskey distillery. The distillery is housed in a cube visible from afar, built by architect Werner Tscholl. The whiskey barrels are stored in a subterranean bunker from the Second World War. To make the whiskey, Vinschgau grain and glacier water are used.
